Rods, connectors, adaptors

All rods and components click together with no screwing whatsoever. Then they stay locked together until you detach them, because they cannot become unscrewed. Detaching is done easily, with a push of the thumb - even gloved hands can depress these large, spring-loaded buttons. You'll absolutely love the speed and security of ButtonLok.

The RoVac rods come standard with ButtonLok connectors. But you can also get ButtonLok connectors that screw onto the ends of your fiberglass or universal poly rods - just drill and pin with one pop rivet and you're good to go. (Don't spin fiberglass rods with a drill - they are not strong enough.) Also available are a drill adaptor, a brush adaptor, and an adaptor to attach your rods to a rotary cleaning tool.

Brushes, whips

Brushes are available for every chimney and vent cleaning task - all with the ButtonLok connector. We have the Master Series round wire brushes in both round and rectengular shapes. Flat wire brushes really scrape the flue walls. And master series polypropylene brushes are also available in round shapes. RoVac's ButtonFlex Brushes, with wooden heads, compare with wood center brushes.

Two whips are also available. Chain whips are for thick, glazed creosote. They have small hubs for easy insertion through flue blockages. Use with steel rods. Replacement chain sets are available. The red Stinger Whip is great for cleaning light, flaky creosote. It is also often used for oil flues. The whips are replaceable.

The smoke chamber spin brush attaches to a rod and drill to give power brushing capability. Alternate fiber weight spin brushes are available special order.

Steel rods, tile breakers

1/4" diameter Steel Rod, and starter rod also have ButtonLok connectors. And they snap right into the connectors on the three "enforcer" tile breaking tools. We suggest using a 1/2" drill with a clutch, 7 amps, 900 rpm for best results.
